Lion-Man (2019)Behind the scenes photos from the production, a link to the final script, and a link to view my senior capstone short film Lion-Man, which I wrote, directed, and colored. This was the culmination of my education at ASU and my largest personal production yet.
One year after a car crash killed his young brother, Owen thinks he runs into the man who caused the crash, and struggles with containing his grief and desire for revenge. Winner of "Best Short (10-15 Minutes)" at the Show Low Film Festival in October 2020. All photos courtesy of Jenae Hirsch. |

Elevated Reality (2018)An assignment for one of my directing classes in which I was given an open script (dialogue only, no scene headings, actions, or direction) and told to shoot it based on circumstances that I created. I decided to go with a stoner-comedy vibe. This was the first short I shot with the support of people in my cohort, and having a larger, dedicated crew made such a difference. I was finally able to focus on the performances of my actors rather than the details I was accustoming to having to deal with.

Inconspicuous-Like (2017)A short film for my first production class and the second short I ever directed. It was based on my brother and I joking around with different sorts of made up metaphors for killing someone that a really dumb gangster might use.

Born A Part (2016)They say the first time is always special. First semester at ASU, first shot at directing, first short film ever worked on. It's an absolute mess in just about every way possible, except for one: we tried. With no real experience, no knowledge on writing a script or how plot works or almost anything really, we gave it our best shot, and had fun making it. This was also when I met Corey Reynolds, a friend and actor I frequently collaborate with. I love seeing how much we've both progressed as artists in our fields since this first project.
